Steering Wheels
There is another type of wheel for land vehicles. It is not for rolling and screeching, though. It is part of the steering system maneuvered by the driver. It is the steering wheel. It is a device for cars to access different directions. Circular is the general shape of this piece but shapes like butterfly is also popular today. Its size, design and overall bulk also depend on the kind of vehicle, whether it’s an automobile or a truck.

This wheel has another usage. It is also a location for the button of the car’s horn. Some vehicles are also manufactured with cruise control and audio system controls intentionally assembled in the steering wheel area.
Its history could be traced way back 1894 when a certain Alfred Vacheron was involved in a Paris-Rouen-Race. His medium was named “Vacheron” which was actually an 1893 Panhard 4hp model with a wheel steering.
